Practising Catholicism is a bit sailing, or golf, or archery; there’s a whole new language to learn and if you’re not familiar with the jargon it can seem mysterious and even bewildering. Naturally if you were raised as a Catholic then the rituals of your faith and the routines of your week will seem perfectly natural. To you it might seem that it’s the rest of the world that is out of step.
For those who covert in adult life the learning curve can be a bit steep at times, but those that do find spiritual solace in this religion the rewards are many. To some Catholicism is the original form of Christianity and this theory is based upon the doctrine of Apostolic Succession (among other reasons), but there are counter claims from other old Christian faiths. Whatever the truth is, it’s a very old religion and pre-dates most of the other Christian denominations.
Whatever your personal view on the origins of Catholicism if you are a practising Catholic and you’re single then like everyone else you’ll probably want to share your life with someone who at least respects your faith, or better still joins you in Church on a regular basis. You’ll want someone who takes your beliefs seriously and who doesn’t just humour your practices. It’s arguable that it takes a Catholic to know a Catholic so if this faith is central to your life then start your search for a soul mate by joining a dating site for single Catholics.
